LAWRENCE GRAND JURY INDICTS 4 IN APRIL

James Ellis Fitzpatrick indicted on drug charges 

James FitzpatrickJames E. Fitzpatrick 22, o​f 3D Rd. Louisa, KY. 

was Indicted on 5 charges with two of them being felony offenses.

(1)Trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) in the first degree. On or before November 5th 2015 in Lawrence County Kentucky, James E. Fitzpatrick allegedly committed the offence of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully trafficking and /or being in the possession of a controlled substance with intent to traffic in the above­mentioned controlled substance (methamphetamine). A Class D Felony that carries a penalty of 1 to 5 years, and fine not more than $10,000.

(2)Trafficking in the second degree (less than 20 dosage units). The above­ named defendant allegedly committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the second degree less than 20 dosage units by knowingly unlawfully being in possession of a schedule 3 controlled substance with intent to traffic in that substance (Suboxone). Class D Felony. The other 3 Indictments are Class B Misdemeanor charges. Failure of non­owner to maintain required insurance and no operators or moped license, along with careless driving.

The grand jury charges that on or before December 14th 2015 in Lawrence County Kentucky and before the finding of the indictment herein, the above­ named defendant James Ellis Fitzpatrick committed the offense of

(1) possession of a controlled substance in the 1st degree, 1st offense by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a class D Felony with a penalty of one to three years and fine not more than $10,000.

The following charges being misdemeanor charges.

(2) Possession of a controlled substance in the 1st degree, 1st offense by knowing and unlawfully being in the possession of a controlled substance, Suboxone. (3) Possession of drug paraphernalia first­offense by allegedly being in possession of a small glass pipe. (4) Possession/Use of Marijuana.

Jason ShortJason Lee Short, 37, of Three D Road in Louisa, Ky.

Indicted on Fleeing and Evading police in the 1st. degree a Class D Felony, penalty one to five years and fined not more than $10,000. (2) Wanton Endangerment in the 1st degree, Class D Felony which carries a penalty of 1 to 5 years, and a fine not more than $10,000. (3) Persistent Felony Offender in the 2nd degree (enhancement).

The Grand Jury charges that on or before February 6th, 2016 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. Jason Lee Short committed the offense of fleeing and evading police and the 1st. degree by knowingly and unlawfully disregarding Deputy Mack Wilhite Jr. (With the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office) signs and signals to stop an attempt to flee an arrest.

Defendant also committed the offense of Wanton Endangerment in the 1st degree by knowingly and unlawfully manifesting extreme indifference to human life engaged in conduct which creates substantial danger of serious physical injury to another person. Having been charged with the above­stated felony counts is now being charged with a Persistent Felony Offender in the 2nd degree.

 Shirley VencillShirley Vincell, 28, o​f Louisa, Ky.

Indicted for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st. degree < than 2 grams of Methamphetamine 1st offense/ complicity.

The grand jury charges that on or before February 10th 2016 in Lawrence County Kentucky surely then sell acting alone or in complicity with Jonathan Mills committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st degree, 1st offense, a class D Felony with a penalty of 1 to 5 years and fine not more than $10,000. Defendant was knowingly and unlawfully trafficking and/ or being in possession of a controlled substance with intent to traffic in the above­ mentioned controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

Jonathan D. Mills Jonathon Mills, 37, ​of Louisa, Ky

Indicted on Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, Methamphetamine, 1st offense/ Complicity. Class D Felony, Penalty: 1 to 5 years and fine not more than $10,000.

The Lawrence County grand jury charges that on or before February 10th 2016 in Lawrence County Jonathan Mills acting alone or in complicity with Shirley Vincell committed the offense of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the 1st degree, 1st offense, by knowingly and unlawfully trafficking and or being in the possession of a controlled substance with intent to traffic in Methamphetamine.
